Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp Ovaltine powder
  • Optional: chopped nuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • Cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs and Ovaltine powder.
  • Gradually mix in the flour mixture until a dough forms.
  • If desired, add chopped nuts or chocolate chips.
  • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
  • Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
